The Center for Neurobehavioral Health, Ltd. will be celebrating its 10-year anniversary in 2007! Michelle Manasseri, M.S., will be attending the 42nd Annual Convention of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies Convention in Orlando, Florida from November 13-16th, 2008. In August of 2007, Dr. Socha-Gelgot will be honored in a special ceremony at the ABPP Annual Convocation that will be held during the APA Annual Convention in San Francisco (www.apa.org/convention07) as recognition for earning the award of ABPP (American Board of Professional Psychology) specialty board certification in Clinical Neuropsychology. The staff at the Center for Neurobehavioral Health, Ltd. were pleased to recently host a visit from G. Dennis Rains, Ph.D., Professor of Psychology at Kutztown University, Dr. George Muugi also a Professor of Psychology at Kutztown University, and Dr. Shashi Bali, a Psychologist at Kenyatta University in Nairobi, Africa. During a delightful dinner at Cafe East, Drs. Socha-Gelgot and Stein provided Dr. Bali and their colleagues with input regarding practical application of neuropsychological assessment to assist in the development of a Neuropsychology Assessment Center at Kenyatta University, which is her home institution in Nairobi. Professor Rains (while at Friends Hospital in Philadelphia, PA) was one of the first mentors of Dr. Socha-Gelgot during her graduate training at Drexel University. He is the author of the text "Principles of Human Neuropsychology" published in 2002 by McGraw-Hill Higher Education (www.mhhe.com/rains).
